Snap, I spent 30 minutes 2 weeks ago looking for that thing. It was right there on the interview website so I just assumed. =/
 
good luck to everyone waiting to hear about interviews/acceptances!

i know it's the last thing you want to hear while you're eagerly anticipating that phone call, but just prepare yourself....the application process with baylor is a long one for some and it may take months to finally get a final decision. it's easy to get frustrated, but hang in there....this school is totally worth it! (wow! i can't believe i'm showing so much baylor love even the night before our exam!)

was anyone at the interview last friday? i fell in love with baylor? what did you say for the breakfast icebreaker?
 
This wait is killing me...everytime my damn phone rings I get excited. Has anyone heard of anyone getting the call yet?
 
Nope. I think all the initial excitement has died down for me. Now I'm just not going to expect a phone call from them. 😳
 
soooooo, "early next week" is almost over....did they postpone it again or did no one from this forum get in (which is very unlikely).....come on, baylor, stop making us suffer!!!! 😀😀
 
I think when they said "Early Next Week" they meant when we damn well feel like it 😉
 
I had a dream about Baylor last night, I don't remember it but I know it was about Baylor and getting accepted or something.

I think they've probably already called a few people, just nobody from SDN.

I guess we're not as good as we think we are.

I'm telling you, they've probably already called some people but they just don't want to release that information. Hence all the vague answers when you call them.
 
Ok, now it's the middle of the week... argg
 
does anyone that was accepted to baylor feel that even one of their interviews went sorta bad?...i felt one of interview went really well, and the other was pretty so-so...but the more i think about it, the "so-so" turns to "bad" 🙁 ..im kinda nervous now..ahhh!!

also, anyone know the breakdown for weighting MCAT, GPA, and the interview scores?..i figure that info is pretty confidential but i just generally wanted to know if they are almost equally looked at for the final decision, or if maybe the interview carries a lot more weight..thanks!

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm not really expecting anything, but I'd just like to know what's going on, you know? What with all the other TX stuff all the way in nov-15 and all.

Do you really think they'd blatantly lie like that?

That's definitely a possibility. But I wouldn't think they would say 'No' to a direct question: 'Have you called people yet?'...............
 
so ends another day of endless waiting...

i'm not really expecting a call the first round (considering all other people there), but like someone else said, i definitely would like to know what's going on...it's the curiosity that kills!!!

so, who volunteers to call tomorrow? maybe i'll just do it this time so that they don't hear the same people all the time...i'll make it private caller...lol!! 🙂 maybe if we keep calling they start calling too!!

You could be right, but I don't think so. I dunno, I just feel that of the many of us on SDN, ONE might hear if they started calling (it actually was only one person last year, no?) And there might be more people lurking that would come out of the woodwork to announce a call. Also, amongst my "real-life" friends (lols), there has also been no word.

I just feel like we'd find out. I guess "feeling" is not something worth going on. But the fact that they have directly said no, we have not called anyone yet..I don't know.

I certainly don't feel all excited about it like last week. Lame.

Yeah but BOTH of mine were so-so and when I think about it, they both turn to bad.

Also the same. One of my interviews was so-so, while the other one.. I didn't do much talking after the basic intro. Turned out she liked talking about Baylor a lot. Hopefully that's good?

Actually, now that I think about it, it's becoming a trend for me. One "bleh" interview followed by a pretty good one. I've learned it has more to do with the interviewer than me personally, so I try not to worry.

Of course, I'm still waiting by my phone. Doesn't hurt that it's the hottest thing this year 😀
 
i heard from a student (who entered in 2005) that a large # of ppl find out february-april..since it's so highly selective during the fall, i guess we shouldn't be too disappointed if we don't hear back in the next few months.. here's to keeping our hopes up 👍

Who was your female interviewer? I had one that also talked a lot about the school, fortunately I was able to get in some words throughout.
 
Well, look at a few posts above when I called them. They kind of lied to my face there. 🙁

I think they're really doing it to spare people some anxiety. Last year, only 2 people on SDN were in Baylor by the end of October. It's highly likely none of us made the first cut despite what our stats might say. I mean, they took OncoDoc who is a PhD. None of us have those kind of credentials.
 
We'd have less anxiety if we knew though, you know what I mean. Anyway, it's not their prerogative to "spare us" anxiety.

I guess it is their prerogative to lie, though.... But like nomoreplz said, I have a lot of friends not on SDN who have heard diddlysquat as well. I just don't think they could lie to such a direct question.

Your question was 'have they made decisions yet' - doesn't the dean make them alone with his ranking sheet? i.e. the decisions are 'not made' until the dean calls someone? i dunno...
 
I bet they haven't sent out any acceptances. I don't think they would have any motive to lie about it. If they didn't want you to know, I bet they would have said "that information isn't available" or something of the sort. Maybe today will be the day...

I think it is important for us to avoid becoming conspiracy theorists, and remember that no news is often good news.

I'll make all the conspiracies I like.

I bet Baylor is covering up the truth to 9/11 too and this is all somehow connected to our lack of acceptances.

It's official. My friend got a call today at about 5 pm from the dean, so it appears they have started making calls.

At about 5:15 PM today I got a call from the dean of Baylor... It seems the wait is over. Good luck to all!
