Sorry about this question, however I have seen a lot of posts about BCPM. I tried to find what it is on here, however all the threads were about whether classes counted for it as well as that it has to do with the application process?

So my question is, what is BCPM?

Thanks in advance and if there's another thread just send me there.

BCPM = biology chemistry physics math. It is what is counted towards your "science GPA" on AMCAS when you apply, and it is generally considered an important factor in admissions.

Hope this is helpful!

99% of the time, what's bcpm or not will be determined completely by the little ticker in your course, like BIO 101 or whatever. As a note, a friend of mine got screwed out of an A when he took a neuro class that was cross listed in psych but technically signed up under the psych ticker. Be careful about crosslisted classes.

This. If it falls under those categories, then you are good to go!👍

Oh alright that makes sense. Thanks everyone and ill take a look at that link.

NOTE: I've taken a look at the BCPM link but does that mean anything labeled bio chem physics or math automatically is added? heres my scenario:

At my school we are required to take bio-writing which is designed expose us to primary literature extract information and write a research paper. AND this semester I've taken an bio-ethics, which was a discussion based class that involved talking about new medical approaches/research, patient rights etc etc. DO THEY COUNT? I did awesome in them too btw =)

Yes to all three questions.
