    i was just looking through my rejection letters from last year, and one of them stands out to me: the university of pennsylvania. here's what they wrote:

    March 21, 2006

    Dear [etf]:

    Thank you for your application to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The Committee on Admissions has completed its consideration of all applications for admission to the 2006 entering class. The class entering in the fall of 2006 has been selected and your application is no longer active.

    We wish you the very best in your educational and career paths.


    application is no longer active? why not say it wasn't selected for admission like the rest. sigh, can't wait till amcas 08 opens up for redemption...

    irvine was kinda whack too; here's a choice excerpt:
    "I am sorry to inform you that in a review of the materials you supplied in your application we are unable at this time to offer you a position in the class for which you applied."

    in the class for which you applied? is the mail merge feature really that hard to use?
