Some medical schools list some sort of "Behavioral Science" as a required or recommended class to take before matriculation. Do you guys think that an introductory course in Game Theory would count as a behavioral science course? It has two course prefixes (ECO/MA) so it counts as both economics and mathematics at my university.

I feel like "Behavioral Science" falls under the realm of psychology and/or sociology courses, not economics or math and most likely not something like game theory

Behavioral science is anything coded psychology, sociology, cognitive science.

Economic classes would fall under other-non science.

Well, economics counts for Core social science credits at my university. Also, Game Theory is a study of strategic decision making which is applicable in all realms including, but not limited to, economics, biological systems, and psychology.

Furthermore, MSAR separates Psychology and the Behavior Science categories when breaking down school prerequisites, indicating that some schools see them as distinctly different, although I'm not sure how. Also, Wikipedia categorizes economics as a social science, which seems to be pretty indicative of having some sort of relation to behavioral science: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_science#Economics

I feel like some economics courses are pretty in line with sociology courses when talking about human behavior, since the whole subject is dedicated to studying human behavior.

Look no further than the "behavioral sciences" section they're adding to the new 2015 MCAT for what medical schools consider:

"Addition of the social and behavioral sciences section, Psychological, Social and Biological Foundations of Behavior, recognizes the importance of socio-cultural and behavioral determinants of health and health outcomes."
