I know it's a personal preference over multiple factors, but I'm hoping anyone out there either current students or accepted, could give me their input...which school would you pick? Bellarmine in Kentucky or A.T Still University in Arizona?

I have a friend who is a graduate from Bellarmine and he really enjoyed his experience because of its close-knit community feel and great academics. Are you accepted to both?

Thanks for the feedback!
yeah -- I already put down my deposit to A.T Still -- but Bellarmine finally mailed my acceptance yesterday...Bellarmine gave me 3 days to send in a deposit!? That seems so unrealistic to me...I thought programs usually give about 30 days...so I am at a loss for what to do.
It's tough because A.T Still is cheaper and has a better graduation rate, but I did get a good sense of community values from Bellarmine at the interview

That is a tough position. Yep that is what my friend had indicated about the community feel. He said the professors/staff were very helpful and he was so glad he chose to attend Bellarmine. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted

I personally will be attending Bellarmine this upcoming year. One of the main selling points for me was the focus on service learning. I also have worked in a clinic with multiple Bellarmine students in their 3rd year of clinical rotations. All the students absolutely love the program and seem extremely well prepared and comfortable when working with patients. Usually they need minimal input from their CI's, which shows me they are ready to be independent PTs. I also love the location. Louisville is a great city with a lot to offer. That's just my opinion! I hope this helps!

Thank you both for the feedback! I agree the service learning seemed great and gave people more exposure to diverse populations of patients.

Any opinions are more than appreciated!! as you all know it's a tough decision and it makes you think how one choice could change so much in your life!

Hi CrazyRunner,

So were you able to make a decision between the two? I am in a similar situation (different schools) and I can definitely relate with it being a hard choice.

Morning! 🙂
After comparing the outcomes for graduation rate and exam pass rate, there wasn't much of a difference between the two schools. I weighed out all the pros and cons and ultimately -- it came down to A.T Still being much cheaper for tuition and the cost of living in Arizona is less than Kentucky...so long story short, I picked A.T Still University and declined Bellarmine.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!

Hi there! I got into AT still as well and I'm in the same position as you, trying to decide between this school and another. One thing that's throwing me off is the curriculum. AT still works by quarters and each quarter is like 17 credits which leads to 165 credits overall. Other schools I looked at have 120-130 credits tops. What's your opinion about this? Do you think it's manageable??

Yeah to squeeze in that many credits seems INSANE! It makes me a bit nervous but after speaking with a current student who is doing work study and has a social life outside of school, I feel a bit more at ease. I also remember being told that the schedule is pretty flexible with no classes on Fridays as well, so that's even more time to study. Although, that also means Monday-Thursday will be pretty crazy. I also noticed that many of the courses are 2 credits - which leaves me to believe they won't be as rigorous/demanding as a 4 credit/lab...I'm hoping anyway...
what do you think you will decide? What is your other school you have in mind (if you don't mind sharing)?

Not at all! It's between AT Still and Sac State.

I don't know much about Sac State -- but I'm sure you'll do great whichever school you decide on.... I think A.T Still will be a right choice for me for their cheaper cost and flexible class schedule... Let me know what you decide on though! Good luck!🙂

I'm leaning towards Arizona right now as well. I reached out to some students and have heard nothing but good things! Did you send your acceptance letter and everything else required to the Missouri location? That's what it said on my contract but I'm paranoid haha

Ha! yeah I was wondering why it was the Missouri location instead of Mesa, AZ too! but yeah I sent my acceptance letter, deposit and immunization records there - without any issues and got confirmations back
I haven't actually even been to AZ (did the phone interview) so going to check it out in April... but pretty excited! I'm from New England so I can't wait to get out of this cold weather!! Are you from the west coast?

I am! 🙂 I'm actually from Nevada. I love the west coast. I have never seen Arizona either. I'm gonna try to set up a visit as well. I'm hoping it can help me make my final decision.
