Benefits of Board Certification in PM&R?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Pros: general public still respects board certified (although they really don't know what it means), easier to get hospital privileges, easier to get on insurance panels. Some large employers require it for their employed MD's.

Cons: its a pain in the a$# and you pay through the nose and do stupid AAPM&R required activities to keep your name listed on the website as "board certified".
