Berkeley Review Physics sufficient?

Are the Berkeley Review Physics books sufficient in terms of content review and passages to prepare one for Physics on the MCAT? Or would you recommend using other books as well? I worked through the Berkeley Review Physics books and I feel I understand the content but then I started studying from the Princeton Review Hyperlearning Physics book and I was totally lost on a lot of the problems in the chapter. TPR is much more math-heavy. Would I be fine with just using the Berkeley Review books alone instead of the TPR Physics book?

I think Berkeley Review is very sufficient. Depending on when you're taking the test, you could always use practice problems from both. The only topic I'd use from TPR would be E/M--BR for the rest.

More than sufficient. What I liked about BR better than both EK and PR was that the explanations taught you how to think your way through questions.

I found my PR physics questions were heavy on the math, but my MCAT was not. Maybe it's changed since I took the MCAT, but the PR book was written by a math guy. Try some of the BR tricks on the PR questions, and except for the crazy math questions with ridiculous numbers, you should find they work really well.

I'd be happy with a 9-10 in the Physical Sciences section. So BR would be enough, right?

for most, yes....if also depends on alot of other factors.

But, BR is the best materials simply because of the practice passages.

I think more like 10-11 if you put in the time and effort.

Absolutely, though you could probably fare better than that with more practice. The materials are that good.

The math in BR is sufficient. When you finish BR, use something else like EK 1001 for practice.

TBR physics is v good.

TPR workbook has some real good practice passages and discreet qns for Fluids

TPR explains Electromagnetism / optics/pulleys...better in case u get stuck.👍

I used TPR/NOVA for physics and BR for chemistry. I didn't finish all the practice questions but I got a 12 on that section. Now I think about it TPR is really good for the 2nd half of physics, while NOVA is great for physics 1 material.
