Berkeley Review Questions

I have searched the forums and read a lot about the Berkeley Review and still have a few questions. I have read that even though they have a shady looking website/ordering method everything is legitimate. Has anyone ever heard differently? Also, is there any other way to buy the books (I couldn't find anything on Amazon or Ebay.) Lastly, how often are the books updated (I plan on getting both chemistry books as well as physics) especially considering how often organic chemistry is changed on the MCAT. In all honesty I just want to put myself at ease before shelling out $175 for 3 subjects worth of books. So, if anyone thinks that another brand is better for some reason please express your opinion!

I have 3 subjects of BR's books (Gchem, Physics, and Orgo) and they are all worth the money.

It is a great set of books and I wish I had bought them first.

If you want them sooner rather than later use a money order instead of a check. You won't be disappointed in the turn around time. I ordered from Texas and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the books arrived. I ordered the chem/physics books. I haven't started content review yet, and although the pages seem copied the content within seems well worth it.

completely agree with 0complications on this one. i am kicking myself that i took kaplan over this course (since i live in LA). get them...worth every penny. order soon thought...mine took 2 weeks to come...after they got my check.

What do you mean shady? If you were buying Native American jewelry from the 90s, that website would have been perfect. 😀

If you haven't taken your exam yet, you should email Todd (the guy who runs the LA class) and see when his office hours are. I know when I used to teach, sometimes people who bought the books would come for questions (as well as students in the class).

Ummm, you mean money order, right? Checks take forever to process.

Nah, I'm in a different country...although that doesn't necessarily preclude agency. I'm just a guy that sucks at PS who was looking for a good book. The money order comment was to save people 10 business days (2 weeks)...people have used cheques =/. I used to hate the company because of the archaic ordering system (cost me money to send money order through ExpressPost + time) and their use of Fedex vs. USPS (rip off for international orders). Free trade my ass!
