First off, congrats to everyone that got accepted! I finally got a decision from the last school I applied to and now my decision lies between Berkeley's MPH in infectious diseases & vaccinology and Hopkins' MS in molecular microbiology and immunology. My background is in microbiology and I've wanted to go into disease research and prevention for quite some time and I'm lucky to have gotten into two programs that best suit my interests
But deciding between the two is really difficult. I want to stay in public health for the long run and focus on laboratory surviellance/research, as well as work internationally. I live in California, so Berkeley's tuition will be much more manageable; however, Hopkins' research interests are much more diverse. If anyone with experience in these programs could help me out it would be awesome, because I'm really stuck.
