Thinking about it more, I think this is my worst rejection letter:
"So just in case you rejected from our MD/PhD program, would you like us to forward your application to MD only?"
"Yeah sure, that would be great!" (obviously much more professionally worded)
"Ok we'll go ahead and do that then"
