Hey SDN. Although this is my first post I have been a lurker here for sometime and wanted to share some love. While writing my essays for secondary apps, I was looking for a bit of inspiration to explain why I want to be a DO and found this gem. Thanks for the link, and yes, Doctordelight, while that is true, nearly every D.O. secondary requires a brief explanation of "why osteopathic medicine".
 
We shouldn't be thinking about them as different. MDs and DOs do the exact same job for the exact same salary.

I couldn't agree more. However, when applying to DO schools, articles like this help differentiate the philosophies behind the schools of medicine and show that you understand what osteopathic medicine is. That is all I wanted to convey with this post.
