This question goes out to residents and above: Where did you get your embroidered lab coats? Did your institution provide them to you, or did you have to get them yourself? ....Can't wait to have a long lab coat that says :
John Smith M.D., Ph.D.
Department of Surgery
Professor of Badassology
first you need specialization in proctology, only then you are allowed to take the course.Where does one get a PhD in Badassology?
Then why did you post it in the medical student forum as opposed to the resident/attending forums elsewhere on here?
You're lame
It's depressing and sad to me when a grown man gets this much of an erection over a little bit of embroidery on a white blood shield.
dont lie lactation counselor, you do too 😛

the best lab coat- one with nothing on underneath it.

The excitement wears thin pretty fast. It goes from being some mark of pride to just a piece of gear that you hate having to launder in weeks. Personally, I hate lab coats- they're nice for the pockets, but with smartphones nowadays there is really very little you have to carry on you aside from a couple pens and your phone. Just give me a set of scrubs any day.Half chub man, half chub. Notice I left my specialty of interest out and broadly said "Department of Surgery" - because if I wrote the whole thing out with my full speciality of interest...well then I'd be a steel rod. The internet is the only place where I can talk about the petty things that get me excited without worrying about people noticing my character flaw. But to be honest.... I WANT MY LAB COAT lol... thought about ordering one before I graduate just to hang in my closest, but....I thought that might be bad karma so I backed off the idea. And to further nerd out...I will be taking a well deserved study/laboratory break tonight to watch the movie Frozen!

Hmmm....for my hairy bodied self...this sounds like a lawsuit.<-- This face because I can't find one for a Gorilla...which is the primate that my hairy self resembles.
I know this to be true. I wear a lab coat everyday... it just doesn't say anything on it...I am excited to have my name on my coat finally with my degrees...but I assure you my enthusiasm on the subject IRL lacks in comparison to that portrayed on SDN.
