mdapplicants.com is a fantastic resource to compare your school lists and numbers to other applicants.

The search feature on mdapplicants.com is useful, but there are a lot of trolls, non-descriptive profiles, and sifting to find a good one is time consuming.

With that said, if anyone has seen a particularly organized, detailed, and helpful profile, please post it on to the end of the list and hopefully we can help out some people. =) Thanks guys.

Thanks guys! If you have any more, please post them.

The guy with the palindrome md applicants id. (Sorry if you are actually a she?)

This thread is so intimidating...

and hello SDN! first post

I would have to agree with that list. Good thread.

It sure would be nice if some of those profiles had under a 35 MCAT score... 🙁

Side note: After I choose a school this summer, I'll be making a very thorough MDapps profile with more average stats and ~10 interviews. Don't want to make it yet because I've come away with some pretty strong opinions about the process that I'd rather not share until all is said and done...

Keep this (intimidating) list growing 🙂

It’s an honor just to be nominated… I’m glad that some of you find my rants uplifting. I should really make a blog so my MDapps isn’t so cluttered! Even though it is probably intimidating to look at due to it's length, I tried to bury lessons in there and give applicants like me some type of hope for being successful in this process, even without a 30+ MCAT. Wait until this cycle is over! It's going to get even better when I post many of my letters of interest and intent. I also plan on including my personal statement and some more details of my application… 🙂 Keep posted!

Knew this would be Noshie before I even clicked it.

Haha, I did too! 😀

Mine isn't as detailed as people's like Noshie and Nick's, but the information is all accurate.

You rock, Noshie! 🙂

Glad that I made this oh-so-distinguished list.

I just finished updating my MDApps with some new info. I'll probably do one more major update before I close the books on it.

Nick - I wish I had a nickle for every time I've read on SDN someone try to call bull**** on your MDApps info or yelled "troll." It has been a hell of a ride.

If I ever get in...thinking sometime late May/early June...I will update mine with info on "how to get accepted MD with a very low science GPA with no post-bacc or SMP."

I've been keeping an pretty accurate MDapps throughout the year. My hope is to encourage students with an average MCAT and GPA and also re-applicants with my profile. I added some new information over the past month as I have finished up applying and have been accepted.

Don't know if I make the cut for "best", but I do have a below 35 MCAT.

Also, I would consider organizing the above list based on MCAT/GPA -- or stellar, average, below average applicants. Otherwise it's just a bunch of random good MDapps.

Yes! Srsly.

No doubt. It was at once incredibly fun, stressful, exciting, and humbling. An interesting time in life, but I definitely wouldn't want to do it again.

Duly Noted. I organized them based on GPA/MCAT, kinda sorta. Just generally grouped them really, hopefully that helps. Keep them coming =)

Aha! Guess he wanted to be a little more anonymous with his name! It's ok, I did the same thing when I made my first profile and realized it was identifying.

I'm awfully glad I'm a Delta, because I don't have to work as hard as a Gamma. And I don't want to play with Epsilon children.

😉 Carry on.

Recently updated mine with a general timeline.

You might relate to my story if:

1) Waiting forever for a committee letter
2) Madly catching up on ECs during junior year
3) Waited / waiting forever for acceptance from waitlists.

I think NickNasylor's is the best in terms of completeness and purpose. I was able to draw some very valuable insight of the application process when I read it.

I wish I had been around for the whole shebang... 🙁
NickNaylor

look it up
Nick's identity is supposed to be somewhat of a secret now, just by the way.

That's ok, I figured the more regular users will remember COTR. I just didn't want all the newbs to know who I was.

The OP must have grouped by MCAT, because GPA-wise you are rocking compared to me.
😍

You're awesome, app buddy!

I'm so glad everything worked out for the both of us - I'm just saying if we had your MCAT and my GPA (and a mix of our ECs, of course), we'd be a pretty rockin' applicant 😉

Yeah, I mostly did it on the MCAT. I guess I might adjust to more LizzyM score or even take into account EC's, but these are just rough groupings.

Again, if anyone has any more, that'd be great!
