I took the DAT on July 30th:

Bio: 20 (86.9%)
GC: 24 (95.2%)
OC: 26 (98.1%)
PA: 20 (85.4%)
RC: 24 (97.2%)
QR: 20 (89.3%)
AA: 23 (98.3%)
TS: 23 (98.2%)

The reason I am posting these scores is to see if my scores make me capable of applying everywhere. I am interested in applying to some upper level schools (Harvard, Columbia, etc...) but I'm not sure if I have a fighting chance. Do you think that I have a shot. My GPA is 3.9 also. I am also wondering what are some other schools that people think I should consider. I really wasn't planning on going out of state (im from ohio) but with these scores I feel as if I have good chances at other places. I would like to go to the best school I can, so I am wondering what schools people think I should check out...thanks!

Lol I'm in the exact same position as you, kinda weird how close all our numbers are on the DAT and gpa/location. I'm from Ohio, got a 23 AA average (99.7%) and have a 3.91 overall gpa and 3.92 science gpa. I applied to OSU, Indiana, Case, Michigan, Penn, UCLA, and also Harvard just for fun. UCLA and Harvard are stretches but for us/me but I applied anyways just to see what would happen. As for the highly selective schools your talking about, your numbers are more than enough to get you in anywhere you want, it will depend on your EC's and how well you interview. If I were you the first 5 schools I would apply to would be the first 5 that I listed, and maybe more like Harvard and Colombia if you really want to go to a selective school for some reason and have the money to spend.

As for going to the best school, they are all the same really. Both of the dentists I shadowed have told me not to worry were you go, and the most important thing you should be considering is mostly money. My number 1 school is OSU since it's cheap being in state, a good school, and I'm already going there for undergrad.
