Best time to take DAT?

Currently a sophomore.

I'm in Orgo I, taking Orgo II in the fall.

Was planning to take the DAT in 2017 (second semester of Junior year) after taking Biochem & Orgo II.

Thoughts? When would be best to start studying?

take it in early to mid june (this is what I did). this gives you the maximum amount of time to study while allowing you to be able to submit your aadsas app early

It's best to study all summer and then take it, some people say take it early summer and thus apply early, personally , I studied all summer without the distraction of having to go to class , got my app out in August , and have received multiple acceptances and or interviews, ultimately , only you know when is best for u , but I think summer break is perfect cause ur not in class , and u can really dedicate to the 10 hours a day for 2 months straight mentality you need for a good score , a higher dat score and applying a little later is better than an average score and applying early , or so it seems

June 1-15th. It takes ~2 weeks for your DAT scores to be submitted and verified, and you want your application sent to schools before July. Submit your application and transcripts before your DAT results are back.
