What do you guys think is the best series to take during summer? Physics 1 and 2 or Ochem 1 and 2?

I am asking this because I see that several people are taking either one of them, yet I dont see many people taking the Bio 1 and 2 or Chem 1 and 2 series. Why is this?

Thanks

I would say take the one you will be able to learn the easiest during the summer since they will be at a faster pace.

And I'm not for sure, but I'm assuming ppl are doing it in the summer to either: lighten their courseload during the year, get them in for the MCAT, or they were unable to get into the classes at other times b/c they were full. Just my guess.

I would personally take physics, but that is b/c I'm a math major so physics is just like as easier version of calc III and differential equations. I feel like organic has more you need to learn so it could be easier during the year when you have the whole (regular length) semester.

I would definitely choose physics, as it is much easier to abbreviate into a summer than organic IMO. O-chem not only has a ton of information to learn and memorize, but it's also one of those subjects that takes awhile for it to "click" with your mind before you get it. You'd be much safer spending a whole year's time trying to do that than just two months.

To answer your other question, those courses have less people in the summer because they are entry-level prereqs. Thus, the only people who would have to take them are people who failed the course in the regular year. On the other hand, upper-level classes like organic would have a combination of people who need to retake it and people who are trying to get ahead and make room for other courses in future semesters.
