Better to do EK 1001 or extra passages?

I'm somewhat following the SN2ed plan and I was wondering if it would be more beneficial to substitute the EK 1001 problems with passages from TPRH science workbook? I guess this way I would still be getting extra practice with the material. Which do you think is better? I'm using TBR for content and passages by the way.
