1. I know that most pharmacy schools require 8 semester hours of biology courses along with microbiology. Regarding med school, my college states the following:
"Two semesters of biology courses with labs are usually the minimum required by med schools. At (college name), this actually means three courses: Themes in Biology (and its lab); Eukaryotic Cell (which does not have a lab, but is now a pre-requisite for the other course); and Genetics (and its lab)."
I have already taken Themes in Biology which is a requirement for microbiology. If I take microbiology, will it fulfill my microbiology requirement AND the 8 semester hours of biology requirement? If not, I guess I will need to take Eukaryotic (plus it will probably better prepare me for the PCAT, right?)
2. Would you recommend that I take Genetics?
3. My school offers HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY I and HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY II (both 300 level bio courses w/ labs). Some schools state that they accept Anatomy I/II and others only Physiology I/II. Should I take both semesters of the combination course that my school offers?
