You have to look at the osmolarity of the solution. NaCl disassociates in the solution, so the osmolarity will be 0.4 molar where as the glucose solution remains 0.2 molar.

105-A mouth rinse contain 0.05 percent F ion. which of the flwng represents the concentration expressed as ppm F ion?

can you explain this?

1 ppm=0.0001%i agree

115-the extracellular matrix include each of the flwng exept one?
d-laminin
ans is myosin -its a muscle protein
I agree myosin is a muscle protein and present intreacellularly but how abt laminin ,i am sure it is present on the cell membrane

133-Which of the flwng tissues uses keton bodies as a major fuel in the fed state?
a-brain

in well fed state heart and muscle use ketone and in state of starvation it is brain

*During starvation, Keton bodies become the predominant fuel of the Brain.
*In early stages of starvation, when the last remnants of fat are oxidized, heart and skeletal muscle will consume primarily keton bodies to preserve glucose for use by the brain.
So it sounds non (brain or muscle) would be the answers.

hi,
can u please explain the answers for 126 133 and 195
why cant it be
195 -henles loop
126-CH3-CH2OH
133 - muscle
why i think it is distal and collecting is because there will be ADH action which makes it hyperosmolar.
i am not sure about it.
i havent read it clearly the question what they asked is well fed what i answered is during starvation . so during well fed stage muscle-skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle ,renal cortex etc use the ketone bodies and during starvation brain 70% uses the ketone bodies.

hey swetha,
thanks for ur explaination

a-closure of AV valve
b-closure of aortic valve

e-laminar blood flow through the occluded artery

Does anyone else think that this answer should be Turbulent Blood flow through the artery. Im pretty sure that you cant hear closing of the valves when calculating blood pressure.

Hi,
The first heart sound relates to: (Released 1980 ,Q20)
1.closure of the A-V valves

Is the above question means differently with what we normally know from the heart sounds, It is confusing though!!!
Thanks
