Just know that substrate level phosphorylation is associated with glycolysis and tca (and other metabolic pathways)... which take place in the cytosol and mitochondra respectively. adp is phosphorylated from a phosphate released from the reactant of the reaction to form ATP.
oxidative phosphorylation is a process rather than a step....and it is key in the electron transport chain in creating ATP from the energy released during the redox reactions. oxidative phosphorylation/electron transport take place in the inner mitochondrial membrane.
i'm guessing you didn't take biochem 2 with dr. logan? 🙂
