Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys know all the cranial nerves. For example CN X = vagus nerve (thats the only one i know). I know there are like 12 or 13.

2. Are there valves between atrium and superior/inferior vena-cave? If so, what are they called?

3. Do we need to know the sub-phylum like hemi-cordata, urochordata, etc?

4. Where are antibodies stored at?
--Is it spleen

If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it, thanks

I just learned this mnemonic for the 12 cranial nerves (see the above post for the names):

Oh once one takes the anatomy final, very good vacations are heavenly.

And to remember which are sensory (s), motor (m), or both (b):

Some say money matters, but my brother says big brains matter more.

how does the second mnemonic work?

how does the second mnemonic work?

Same as the first. Of course you only care about the first letter of each word since it's either s (sensory), m (motor), or b (both). The third word is 'money' which starts with 'm' so the third cranial nerve is motor (oculomotor is in fact a motor nerve - it innervates the muscles of the eye for movement).

I learned it as 'big breasts'.:)

DO you guys think, we need to know the fuctions of each nerve or just knowing the names would be sufficent!
