Tried to find search on this at various places and couldn't find an answer, so I thought to ask a pretty dumb question about biochem here. Our lecturers tell us that even though they will give us abbreviations like "PRPP" on our exams, that the Step will write out the full name so we better be able to recognize the non-abbreviated names. How true is this, because when I follow along in FA in the biochem section, they seem to use mostly abbreviations in everything as well?
It just makes memorizing things a lot faster if I just need to know the abbreviations than trying to pronounce some long freaking name in my head that I probably wouldn't be able to say correctly out loud anyway.
