There might, but for ones with special properties. Such as glycine which is achiral. you might have to distinguish if they are protonated or not in certain circumstances. It wont be as in depth as biochemistry though.
You don't need to have the amino acid structures memorized or know their side chains. You should know how to determine the isolectronic point and know what a zwitterion is.
