Weirdly enough, UWO (university of western ontario, Ontario, Canada)
doesn't offer full 1 year biochemistry. What they do is they offer biochemistry for 1st half of the year, then for 2nd half we have something called "cell biology" which is widely accepted as "biochemistry" credit in canada.
I was wondering if this applies the same to the US schools as well.
I'm trying to apply next year, and i'm taking cell biology because my 1st semester courses are all full. If I hand my application to US schools next year, would this count as biochemistry pre-req not fulfilled? :S
help me out here guys

i'm at uwo as well

i highly recommend human biochem 3380A, it's very interesting and found it very easy 🙂

edit: to answer your question, no "cell bio" wouldn't fulfill another biochem credit, i took these classes and when i entered cell bio in AADSAS it was under category "BIOLOGY." I'm not sure full course biochem is required for most of the schools I applied to though. If a school you're eyeing does require full hours of biochem, i would take the human biochem course!

I don't know of any american schools that require a full year of biochem. I know some Canadian schools do, but they accept cell bio as the other half.
