As a neuroscience major I've more than covered by biology lecture prereqs, but my question is whether or not both my biology lab credits (labs and lectures are separate classes at my university) need to be from the biology department.
I've already taken a semester of molecular biology lab, so in order to get the "year of lab" all schools want I need one more semester. For my major I have to take a neuroscience lab described as "Exposure to classical/modern experiments in neuroscience". Will this count for the bio lab prereq?
If not, then I can take a third, elective, physiology lab ("Experiments and exercises in advanced physiology emphasizing human physiology"), but I would rather not take this one if possible for the sake of time.
I know this is kind of a silly question but it occurred to me as I was signing up for classes next semester, which will be the last semester before I apply. I would hate to be kicking myself next year because I couldn't apply to some schools I wanted to if they don't accept a neuroscience lab as a biology lab.
I've tried emailing a handful of schools at their "contact us" email on their info for applicants webpage, but I've received no responses.
