could someone help me understand this question?

Which of the following is NOT a characteristic of
proteins?
A. Can self-replicate
B. Can act as a hormone
C. Can catalyze chemical reactions
D. Acts in cell membrane trafficking
E. Can bind foreign materials

the most likely answer seems like A but what about prions?

don't they self replicate?

Its almost like getting a question that says:

Enzymes are:

1. proteins
2. Lower activ energy
3. Increase Rate of rxn
4. Two of above
5. All above

I did research for a year or so on ribozymes, RNA that catalyze reactions (like snRNPs), so with a question like yours, you should probably just narrow it down to the best answer would be. Also, I thought prions convert other normal proteins to prions? And this pattern keeps continuing
