BioMed Sci. programs at D.O institutions

I will not be applying to med school until 2006 at the earliest, and I also need to do something to improve my credentials before applying as well. If i were to successfully complete on the M.S programs at one of the D.O institutions, would that give me any sort of edge over other applicants (that is if I rock the MCAT this time around).

If I completed the masters program at KCOM, would that significantly improve my chances of winning over their D.O ADCOMM??
