Does anyone have a preference out of the NPTE review books? I need to buy one soon and am open to suggestions. Also, I'm graduating in December of next year and am looking at most likely having to work with a provisional license at least part-time until taking the boards in late January. Do any current PTs have input as far as working with studying for the boards? Everyone I've talked to says to not work and just study, but that may not be an option for me.

A few years ago, I studied using the O'Sullivan's Review book and did a lot of practice questions (PEAT). I had a full-time job under my limited permit, and it was tough. I studied after work and had no free weekends for 2 months. I passed with a 75, right on the border between pass/fail.

My advice is to take two months off and study full-time, unless you really need to repay loans. Slowly, more and more facilities are moving towards not hiring PTs with limited permits.

Good luck. Take lots of practice exams in a simulated testing environment. Like if you're taking your test in the morning, take practice exams in the morning.
