Just curious if there was a list that people knew of for requirements to apply/get interviews?

For example:
Mayo = >220 on Step 1
Harvard = >80% if you are a Foreign Medical Grad
Kessler = pass Step 1 on first try
Emory = >200 on Step 1

Do people know of other schools with boards requirements (specifically: RIC, Charlotte, UMich, NYC and Philly programs)??

Thanks!

I don't think that there's a list. I think that most PM&R programs (being more "whole person oriented" than other specialties) really look at the whole applicant. I think that 200 or better on the USMLE will get you in the "invite pile" at most programs. I also think that letters of rec from physiatrists, some rehab-related experience, and PM&R rotation experience really helps. Believe it or not some people do apply to PM&R programs having never done a PM&R rotation. Oh, and don't call it "PM-N-R" either...that's usually the kiss of death.

Instead of "PM&R," can you say rehab medicine?

Some ppl are really picky about the name. i would only use PM&R or Physiatry to play it safe. Plus, rehab is only one component of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

There are some older programs, such as Jefferson, who have held onto to the original dept name. Department of Rehabiliatation Medicine.

other include, U.Wash, Columbia, Mt Sinia, Emory, Univ. Miami, NYU...
