Dam just plain sugar? That's crazy...
Isn't insulin spiking broscience ?

Don't think so. I know layne norton used to do it and he's pretty anti bro science. Could ask him one day tho to check

I take some sort of pre-workout. Currently on N.O. Xplode, but I tend to alternate between MP Assault, Superpump MAX, Jack3d, Neurocore or my own concoction of coffee, protein, and honey.

Intra-workout, I take a mixture of Xtend by Scivation, 10g of Creatine Monohydrate, and about 5g of Glutamine.

Post-workout, usually, around 30-40g of whey protein, and a hefty meal.

Upon waking up and before going to bed, I take 2000mg of Fish Oil, and a multivitamin.

~1 gallon of water of day.

All you guys taking Creatine!!! None of you are natty 😉

Imma start taking D-Aspartic Acid again along with an aromtase inhibitor. Hoping for slight strength gains.

Probly gonna do a powerlifting meet in march

Anyone try cutting down for a show while in med school? Feel like studying for tests while carb depleted would be nearly impossible.

Keto + carb load days for your liver

I messed around with a eating plan called "natural hormone enhancement" by rob faigin. Really liked it.

Btw i am an ex college and pro athlete. I've done my research and plenty of experimenting.

All the popularized workout supplements out there are crap. Don't waste your money. At my prime I worked out 4-8hrs/day and only sometimes had a scoop of high quality whey when I couldn't afford time/money to make a proper meal.

Workout smart, eat real food, get plenty of sleep and be patient.

A dean of a medical school I interviewed at recently was a complete bro and used to lift when he was younger. Had a great interview day and at the end of it went back to him and offered to help him on his deadlift form if they accepted me 👍

Becoming a physique competitor during med school doable??? Tryna get on that Greg Plitt level.

If you're asking for the brand, it's stuff you can get at Costco. Nothing fancy. Just generic Omega-3s.

Not the brand. I've been reading about supplements and noticed people take different types of fish oil (cod oil, krill oil, etc) and was just curious which you used.

any bros in here juicing

Don't think it would be the best thing to do for us. But I'm sure plenty do.

It's funny that PH's are legal, like Hdrol where the gains are far less then running Test, but Hdrol is 100x worse for you.

Sense, makes none.

I may regret posting here, but... I'm a female lifter. Currently training for my first NPC competition (Bikini category) at the end of Spring. It's very time consuming, I'm talking 2-4+ hours every day in the gym with two-a-days, and the whole 7 meals a day nutrition plan. Before when I was doing LG/IF and SL it took up way less time. I can see being on that type of schedule during med school. However, if you have several competitions under your belt it's easier to prep for each subsequent show so maybe you could do a comp if you're already experienced.

We finally have a female on this thread!

Thanks! I mean gap year, why not? No better time. Competition prep keeps my mind off the application process, and lifting saved me from overloading on stress while studying for the MCAT. I haven't been to that many interviews but I definitely checked out the gym facilities at every school I visited. And I just might have more supplements in my kitchen than you guys do 😛

ACCEPTED! U mirin?

Anyways, now that that stress is gone, and I'm just about done traveling for interviews, I can get back to a regular, stable gym routine. I want to look like a beast before M1 starts.
