Booking 3-mo window for STEP 1 - small question

Trying to do the online initial step of booking the 3 month window for STEP 1, and I had a quick question. My driver's license is what I plan to use as proof of ID for when I take STEP in the spring, but it has a different state and address on it compared to the address I will be providing to register and fill out the paperwork for STEP. Will this address discrepancy be a problem in the spring on test day?

I see. Did they say that you'd need the addresses to align? I've also emailed NBME but haven't heard back yet. From school I hear that it hasn't been a problem before but to double-check.

Why the different addresses? I would suggest you limit your headaches and just stick with one from here on until you match if possible.

Update - called NBME and they said it was alright with the different addresses. My license is still valid so when I moved for medical school I didn't change it. But it might be a headache later on too so I should look into changing it.

My license doesnt match my physical address. They didnt care.

They won’t care. It just has to be the exact same name.
