I interviewed at Framingham (metrowest) TY year. There is a large percentage of FMGs (50-70%). This is exceedingly rare for a TY year and I was wondering why? Usually these are crazy competitive. The PD is from Germany so is that it? Do people coming from or going to Bostom programs (Harvard, BU, Tufts) want to stay in the city and that makes Framingham less desirable?

The schedule seemed fine. (1 mo night float, 4 months ICU/wards, 1 month ER that is pretty cush, 3 months peds, 3 months elective). Is there something I am missing?
