Boston U and Kaiser Program: Opinions?

Any BU students able to provide some in site into this program? Why would a BU student do a full year away rotations at essentially community hospitals rather than doing them at an academic center? Seems like you wouldn't get letters of rec from 'known' people potentially hampering your residency match, unless you wanted to go to Kaiser specifically.
