I just today realized that this is not required =) But I will still need another biology class with a lab soooo... would you guys recommend botany? Or something like a biochemistry or physiology lab?

biochem and physio lab may seem more relevant but i feel like botany would be easier and you are in college and do need to live a little....so i say although botany class itself is boring as crap....put down the organ systems and pick up the sepal or whatever its called

Umm, I think maybe BIOCHEM would serve you much better in the future you want than a class about PLANTS...🙄

however, I may just be biased because I hated botany more than ANY OTHER ****ING CLASS I EVER TOOK...

Plants suck. Period. Biochemistry will help you infinitely more in life. =\

Hey, hey, hey...if it weren't for plants we would be here. Show some respect for the plants.

I would seriously shoot myself before ever taking a Botany class. Am I the only one that completely despises learning about plants? It's just so incredibly boring. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Thanks guys! What are biochemistry and NPB labs like?

I happen to love botany and plants...

But to OP, yeah the second Bio/Lab thing kind of stinks. Botany is dangerous though because certain schools (you'd have to look up their web sites) explicitly say botany does not count as a bio pre-req. Others let you do it. And still others allow merely a second level bio w/out a lab. You could check my MDApps profile because I believe at least 3 of them had the no botany rule.

If you take biochem, which I would recommend taking whether or not its required, then you have to make sure it counts as a BIO and not a CHM. At my school it counts as a CHM. So then you would still be stuck with another BIO elective.
