Out of curiosity, do you think boys or rather "men" (sorry guys 😉 ) get preferential treatment as far as admissions for PharmD schools go since they definitely seem to be in the minority? Just wondering about that.

I highly doubt it. Most schools appear 70:30 female to male.

That split's totally cool with me though, especially AFTER I get in... 😀

at my school they looked into it actually

and their applicant pool was abotu 70:30
so their class reflected it

heck yeah, i maybe that ratio will give me the boost i need. haha

nwhilk, that sounds like a GREAT idea! I would love some preferential treatment!!! If you get a chance, write some letters to as many schools as you can and suggest that men like me get preferential treatment.

I wish we had more people like you coming up with these ideas. Good job!

if we got preferential treatment, dont you think there'd be more of us in pharm schools???
 
My pharmacy class clearly has more women than men, probably somewhere in that general 70/30 range. So, to answer, no men do not get preferential treatment 🙂
