I've heard great things about Berkley Review Physics, so I'm seriously considering buying them. I will only have about 1.5 months to study for the MCAT. How big are the BK Physics books? How long would it take to go through it?

It's more than enough time.

well i'm retaking the MCAT, so I don't need nor want several months to study. and as for the physics, it should be review from my introductory physics class. but i've heard such great things about BR physics that I want to give it a shot. i just wanted to know if its a huge textbook or not? I plan to use BR for O-chem, so I'd like to know how that one is too.

Give TheBoondocks a PM about the length of the BR Physics book. He currently owns them so he should be able to tell you. I'm pretty sure the book is fairly long, 200+ pages. I wouldn't be surprised if it's double or even triple the number of pages.

the books are 284 pages each. 70 questions in 10 passages at the end of each of 10 sections.

I'm studying out of BR's physics, chem, and ochem right now. the chem and ochem editions out are their complete editions and are really good. the physics is good, but the current one isn't up to par with the ochem and chem books. they're releasing the final verison of their physics in May, so the edition out now has a few things missing. if I were you, I would go through BR physics for all the details, then go through EK physics for a quick summary and to fill in any gaps BR physics didn't cover.

how big are the books, are they thick textbooks?
do the practice passages come with the physics 1 & physics 2 textbooks, or are they sold separately?

The passages come with the books. Each section has the text, and then 10 passages of questions.
