Class description: Exploration of relationship between brain development and behavior. Examination of how cognitive neuroscience can inform study of development and how developmental approach can advance progress in cognitive and developmental sciences.

What are the chances this would get re-categorized as non-BCPM?

Thank you!

I tried classifying cognitive neuroscience under BCPM but they reclassified it as BESS when verifying. It probably depends on the department that it's classified under. Though my class was most definitely science it was taught by Psych department.

I think it depends on what depa
It is classified on content based on formal description in college catalog for term course was taken. It is most likely done this year via system that looks up the course, "scores" it via terms, department, etc in catalog, and gives a confidence score. Verifiers likely only review it manually when that score is 60%-40%, hence why verification may be proceeding much quicker this year

Verificiation is apparently very slow this year I wonder why that is. I submitted first day and it took 8 days to verify. Last years verification thread indicates people who submitted around the same time of day on the first day were verified within 2 days.

It is under the psych department

I classified most of my cognitive neuroscience courses as BCPM (even though it hurt my sGPA) because most of the content was science. Also neuroscience is listed under biology.

that would imply it was your transcript and college as opposed to the process. They may have to check several "manually" as in getting verification by calling the school

It's not just me. I'm verified because I submitted before 2pm first day but unless one submitted for early decision, NO one who has submitted after the first day is verified yet - according to this verification thread. And it's nearly 2 weeks since first day of submission.
