I looked in the archives for this and found a bunch of information that was kinda overwhelming. I am using TPR books and they have a HUGE list of functions for all of the parts of the brain.
For example, for the basal nuclei, it first lists the general function as movement and then specific functions as regulate body movement and muscle tone, coordination of learned movement patterns, general pattern of rhythm movements, subconscious adjustments of conscious movements.
Should I just know the general function as movement or all of these specifc ones? Also, should we know what relays what to what? For example, the pons relays info to the cerebellum and thymus.
Also, some of the functions overlap. I'm thinking about the pons and the basal nuclei so I am kinda having trouble distinguishing all of these functions.
Any advice is appreciated.
