BRS Path or Goljan Audio?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
use RR path if you're weak in path. it covers everything in his lectures too. you can get through the book in a week.

Goljan is simply amazing. The problem is, he throws so much at you at once. For me, a 1 hr lecture takes alot longer than 1 hr to get through, just because I have to really piece everything together and ingrain it all in my head.

If you are low on time, listening to lectures may not help you too much. He has high yield notes out, you may want to get a hold of those.

It takes me about an hour and a half to get through each of his lectures (I'm always rewinding and repeating it to really try and understand it). He is really great at synthesizing the information, but for right now, I think I can only pick one thing or the other.

About RR, I don't think our bookstore carries it & it would take a while to get here if I ordered it online.

I'm kind of just looking for something concise to get a good grip on path (or pathophys), since I hear it is a big part of the test. I'm just not sure what do with ~2.5 wks left.

I figured if I spend ~4 hrs/day for 10 days, hopefully that would be enough to get through the BRS path organ sections. I'll probably only get through it once. Someone tell me if I'm way over the top here.

Thanks.

you could easilky get through the brs path organ sections in that much time......

You should definitely be able to get through BRS Path at least twice in that time... when I was studying for my comprehensive path final, I got through it in about 2 1/2 days of reading less than 8 hours a day.

I'm sorry to post this but I needed some clarification on the Goljan Resources. Here are my questions:

-I know I can buy the Rapid Review Path by Goljan.
-Where can I get the HY Goljan resources that everyone talks about?
All of my friends use BRS Path rather than Goljan so I don't know where I can get a hold of this great resource.

-Is the HY Goljan the same thing as the 36p and 100p notes? Also where can I get these

-There has also been some mention of Goljan slides. Any idea where I can find those?

-I already have the Goljan audio. I have about 35 hours of lectures...i dont know if there are any more.

I really appreciate your help...I have a month till my exam and my Path scores are lower than I would like so I really need to focus on that.

Yes, the 36 & 100 pg notes are Goljan's HY, but it seems that the new advisor in this forum is cracking down on asking/telling where to get this stuff since it is a copyright violation, so you won't get an answer here.

Be sure to review physiology (BRS Phys all the way) with BRS Path, since BRS Path doesn't really tie that in as well. I used those two books hand in hand together; i.e. - read renal phys then read renal path, and then read the FA section. Helps give some repetition and should definately help connect things.
