FA says that Bruton's has normal pro-B...which I assume means count. But Bruton's is a problem in proB --> preB step, so wouldn't it make more sense if the proB count was increased?

I don't know if it's saying the COUNT is normal, I think it's just saying the pro-B cells are still qualitatively normal.
 
According to Robbins (8th ed., page 231), the defect is when going from pre-B to immature B, not pro-B to pre-B as the latest FA errata says.

Yes, but Wikipedia says it's pro-B to pre-B.

Also, 8th edition Robbins is 2009... it's been two years now
