Hi all,

I just got asked to interview at Bryn Mawr and Goucher. I'm so excited (and nervous!)! I notice that the SDN interview feedback does not include post-bac programs, and am wondering if any of you have advice regarding what to expect at these interviews. What is the format? What sort of questions should I be ready to answer (other than the big "why do you want to be a doctor")? Anyone here get any tricky questions I should brace myself for?

I have never been to a school interview, so getting some idea of what it may be like would really help me to at least relax a little!

Thanks!

Relax, relax, relax. If you got the interview, their interested and just want to get to know you.

Hey, I got into Bryn Mawr last year and the interview day was great (although I decided not to go b/c I was relocating to NYC). When you are interviewed you won't get a feel for how you are doing, she stays very unemotional and wasn't to responsive till her and I were conversing after. The day starts with an intro about the program, then you go on a tour (get to ask lots of students questions in the lounge), then you have lunch (courtesy of bryn mawr) with your tour guides. It was a great day don't worry and just don't be late...they asked the usual why medicine, why not, make sure you know anything you put on your resume cold (brought up an activity I did as a frosh in college wasn't a problem for me b/c i was sincerely very involved with the activity but someone else may have had a problem with something s far back etc.) what you see as a the downside of this career choice...very easy jsu stay calm good luck!!! the women is jodi and she is extremely nice so have fun and ask all your questions (i had a really hard time turning down the program)

hi----

i just got asked to an interview at bryn mawr (have yet to hear from goucher), and i have a (really stupid, but still it's there) question:

do people wear suits to this type of day interview? (i've never been to a school interview like this) i was thinking i should wear a jacket and tie, but i dont want to seem totally out of place.

Can anyone who has gone through with these interviews or in the program let me know?

thanks! (very excited/hopeful/very very nervous!)

Shorts and a tank top should be fine.

Definitely a full suit. Go with dark and conservative to be safe. Out of all the prospectives I've seen at Goucher, I'd say 90% of guys wear a suit, and maybe 75% for women. Good luck!
