Hi,
I will be applying and hopefully attending medial school in Texas. I have a C- in chemistry. TMDSAS does not consider the - when I apply. When medical schools review transcripts after acceptance for pre req requirements, do they consider the "-"? I've read that C is the minimum grade in pre req classes but is that based on TMDSAS or actual transcripts?

Thank you!

This is what TMDSAS will transmit to the schools, listing your educational record:

So although TMDSAS will not consider the - in its calculations of your application GPA, the school will see the C-. Therefore, it looks like you need to repeat the course if C is the minimum grade required by the schools.

@wysdoc might be able to confirm or tell you something different.
