I'll try to keep this short:
Next January I'll be applying to PT schools in Canada. Most schools have the same policy for calculating GPA for admission, which is that they only take into account the last 20 classes (60 credits) of previous university-level courses. When the time comes for me to apply, I will have completed 17 classes toward my current undergrad Kinesiology program. I currently have a 3.7 GPA, and I think I can maintain that. (I have so few classes for this degree because of transfer credits from a previous degree I finished in 2009.) Assuming grad schools are pretty strict about this 20-class policy, they will go back to my previous degree for the remaining 3 courses. Due to senioritis, my last semester of that degree is not so good. I took 5 classes and received A, B, B, C, D.
Now what I'm wondering is whether there's any way to know which of those 3 classes they'll use for the calculation. If they take the C and D, that will hurt my GPA for admission. I'm considering taking 3 easy online classes to remove the possibility of grad schools going back to that C and D. The disadvantages of this are the extra work and the cost. It would cost me $1300 to take these 3 classes.
Does anyone have experience with this admissions policy or advice as to whether I should take these online classes?
