Calculus Grades?

Will a B+ in Calculus 1 for Scientists and Engineers be a big detractor on my application?

Calculus is not exactly my strong point, obviously, but is there anything that I should do about this grade, or should I just take it as is and not worry about it. (All of my other grades for the semester are A's, though I think I may have 1, maybe 2 A-'s)

A B+ in anything doesn't make any difference.. As long as you aren't loaded up with them.

Why even ask. You know the answer. Quit your dreams of medicine and start filling out the aplication at your local Burger King. You can't apply to McDonald's cause an A in calc is required. Sry.

I would seriously consider dental school.

Pardon me for causing such apparent offense. I get the idea, and while I preferred some of the more polite replies, I understand the feelings of the replies of the others as well.

As there is no real way for me to remove this thread, I simply wish to point out that the original message was posted because of initial worry, however useless said worry actually was to me or the other members of SDN, especially considering the frivolity of the subject matter.

While it is nice that many of you took the time out of your busy days to lend me some sarcastic humor and snide disgust regarding my post which lacked forethought or a proper search, there is no rule that requires you to read let alone deign to respond to such a post as mine.

Besides that, I hope everyone is having an enjoyable time with the holidays, spent with family and friends, and hopefully with the good cheer and manner that is the hallmark of the season.

From what I'm getting from the people who posted to this, not reading these forums often is a boon. So I'm not particularly sure what you are advocating by your remarks.

And no I'm not particularly surprised after reading my initial post again. And if I conveyed that emotion in a prior post, please be aware that I was not intending to convey that emotion through my limited prose previously.

I do believe that if that was my intention to convey that particular emotion, I would have most likely explicitly stated, "I am surprised." As opposed to simply stating a request for pardon for my ill-thought post and stating clearly (or so I felt) that, although sarcastic humor is entertaining, they really need not waste their obviously valuable time to impart their wit and comic ingenuity upon me, as I am sure that many of those persons have much better things to do with their lives, like I stated, which would be spending an important time of year with their families and friends in good cheer and manner.

I hope that more clearly conveys that I'm not particularly surprised, and that I simply wish to convey a respectful and good-natured response to this thread considering that it was a poor one to start in the first place.

No. Ad Coms like to see well-rounded/diverse grades on your transcript so if you can throw in a few Cs, Ds, and Fs then that would look even better (try to aim for the minus and plus, too... makes your transcript stand out more)!
