Below is the CME requirement website for California medical license:

The Medical Board of California licenses and disciplines doctors, handles complaints against physicians and offers public-record information.

While renewing the California medical license, is Pain mx and palliative care CME is one in a lifetime requirement per this website or we need to take the course each renewal cycle ( every 2 years)?

Contrary to the joke above, it is indeed one time and if you did the training for the X-waver, which you should have... you're 2/3 there.
