California DPT Schools 2020-2021 Cycle

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Accepted at UCSF SFSU, but torn between this and a program which is cheaper by at least 15K (Due to a scholarship), but is all the way across the country.

Was anyone else kinda bummed that in-class time is being reduced by a lot at UCSF SFSU? If I remember correctly they said it would be 1 week per month.

Also, did I hear wrong, or were they doing a virtual cadaver? I explicitly remember the students saying that they had not been into the anatomy lab at all. Not to sound morbid, but I feel I would get a better understanding of the anatomy by actually handling the body parts.

Those are my main stuck points. Any insight of what you all remember would helpful to hear.

Thanks
Yeah I was hoping that by the time we start school things would have been mostly back to normal.
I do remember one of the students saying that they had that awesome anatomy app for anatomy but nothing can beat working with a real body 🙁

Anybody get a call from Sac State for a confirmation on their interview? They mentioned they would call starting Jan 6.

Did anyone who applied to CSU Northridge received an email today about a short survey question?

Okay so I was granted an interview for Fresno State and I got an email confirming my interview time today. However a few minutes after, I also received another email stating "Your recent application is being forwarded to Ashley Behlen , Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for further review.
Once they have made their recommendation, we will inform you."
What is this supposed to mean?

That's very strange. I only received one email for my interview date. But I think your okay because they already gave you an interview time.

I'm thinking maybe it's because they were waiting for the grades for one of my pre reqs to come through?

Also got an email acceptance from CSULB!! Does anyone know if we have to pay a deposit or just send back that form.

Congrats to all of you who got into CSULB🙂
I got on the high tier list so crossing my fingers.

Nope. It says on their website "We will begin to notify those qualified applicants in the regular pool of their status beginning in mid-January" so I'll be anxiously waiting til then!
Got into the high tier waitlist for long beach congrats to those who got in 🙂

Hi everyone! I applied to the following schools:
- Fresno State: No update
- Sac State: No update
- Long Beach State: No update
- CSUN: No update
- UOP: No update
- Azusa: 11/12 - notified by admissions that Jan 2021 was full, but rolling my app for consideration in Jan 2022.

Good luck to everyone!
Do you mind me asking when you applied to Azusa? Do you know when they filled up their spots for Jan 2021?

Just got into CSULB, deciding between Chapman and LB. 90% positive I’m going with LB because it’s cheaper!! If anyone has any input, I’d love to hear it! And, if anyone is accepting their LB offer, I’d love to connect! 🙂

whoohooo!! It feels sooo good to finally be done with the waiting game!

I received a email from CSULB admission on the 14th, which was 2 days ago saying that they just forward my application to the DPT apartment .. when did you guys have that confirmation email ? I wonder if all decision result went out yesterday, since I didn’t receive any email...

They emailed me about my acceptance yesterday (01/15) evening. I’m not exactly sure what that means but I hope you get in!

Definitely Long Beach! Cheaper, public school. Great reputation. Great location.

Got in Long Beach! Most likely will deny acceptance, it is my #3 school after Fresno State and Sac State. In my research, housing is pretty pricey in that area and I'm trying not to be in so much debt.

I got High Tier waitlisted for CSULB yesterday (1/15)
