Hi Everyone,
Do you think it is annoying to the admissions committees to check on your status if you haven't heard back for awhile? I actually just want to reiterate my interest in the school and don't want them to 'forget' who I am this long (week and a half) after the interview. Plus, of course, it would be nice to know when they are going to make a decision. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

the wait is horrible, but most schools take a few weeks, so don't worry if you haven't heard yet. you can call if you want, just keep in mind that calling them takes time away from decision making. good luck! 🙂

Do you really think you're going to get the admissions committee on the phone if you call?:laugh: You'll get a secretary/receptionist in the admissions office who more than likely will get annoyed because the office gets so many calls each day.

If you want to express your continued interest, do it via email or letter which will get into your file -where the adcom may see it. Chances are they will never know about your phone call no matter how it is received.

Yeah, the wait is a killer! Thanks for the advice, man. Good luck to you as well!

Haha, yeah actually I was talking about sending an e-mail, not calling...that way they'd know who I am when I told them I was still interested

I think you're right - why not just cut to the chase and tell them I'm still interested. That's what I'm going to do. Thanks for the advice! Good luck 🙂
