Campbell or UNC Interviews?

For those of you who were just accepted from Jan 6 interview, are you NC residents or out of state?
 
does anyone know when the next interview date is for unc by chance?!

I know this is late, but my application was finally completed and sent last week. 😱 I'm not sure how long it will take since we are in a really busy time of the application cycle. I am a Florida resident and my GPA and PCAT are in the "competitive" range, but my GPA is on the low end of that so I'm a little scared!

People who got accepted, is your PCAT really high? And are you still taking classes during spring/summer sessions?
 
PharmOl, im a sophomore so I'm still taking spring classes as we speak (Takin Orgo 2, Physics 104, and Phil/Moral Reasoning). I'm not taking any summer classes this time though (did that last summer). My PCAT composite the first time was in the 84th percentile. The second time it was in the 91st percentile. Meaning I'm not a friggin GENIUS but it was pretty good.

Has anyone else gotten an email from Campbell stating your application had been considered withdrawn due to no response and to contact them asap if there had been a mistake? That was the first and only email I've received from them aside from application submission confirmation. I'm so upset right now, I tried calling them but of course no one is there. I wonder if it could be reinstated?
 
well, campbell finally called me this afternoon wanting me to interview this thursday (someone must have canceled, kind of short notice!) anyways, she also said that there weren't anymore interview slots available until march. just thought some of you who are waiting to hear from them would want to know! since i have another interview that day i couldnt make it so she said they would give me a call later (probably next month). oh well! 🙄
 
I was accepted last week and received my offer of admittance info in the mail. I just got news of being accepted to my first choice school today, so I"ll be declining Campbell, so that should open up a spot for one of SDN's qualified candidates. Good luck!

I got a call this am, too, with invite for an interview this Thursday. Had to decline due to scheduling also 🙂

when did you guys have your interview?
 
I think my interview was on Dec 5th. I heard back from them about 2-3 weeks later.

I interviewed on December 2 and got the email on December 16. I think they have a weird system in which they accept a few from each round about 2 weeks after the interview. Then they have another round the next month and accept a few from that round along with a few from the round before. I have several friends who interviewed in December and were accepted at the same time as the people who interviewed in January. I know a lot of other people who are still waiting from December interviews. I'm starting to think that they like watching people pull out their hair...Don't give them the satisfaction.

92% I'm finishing organic and analytical labs (my last two prereqs) this semester.
 
Yeah, I interviewed Dec. 2nd and I got accepted Jan. 21st. If they like to watch us freak out, I was probably a major source of entertainment.
 
Congrats to all of those accepted (at both UNC and Campbell)!!! Still waiting to hear from both schools...hoping I'm not the only one!

Don't worry, you're not the only one waiting! I'm getting anxious about hearing from UNC. I know someone who interviewed in december and they told her that she wouldn't hear back until late february, so maybe they will be doing more interviews soon! Campbell said the next available time slots for interviews isnt until march! Just hang in there 😉

I interviewed at UNC in December too!!!! I think they forgot about me :laugh:

I remember UNC said they send out acceptance in bunches. The top 30 are accepted first, then the next 30, etc. They didn't know when they would send out acceptance at that time (they said probably start in late Dec or January). I guess I am not in the top 60 or whatever. I seem to remember that everyone would hear back from them by April. Which is a long time away.
 
Hi all


I'm still waiting to hear for an interview at UNC. I got accepted at campbell already. i went up to a 92 composite from a 67. I have a pretty strong application and GPA as well. I'm starting to get worried because everyone seems to be talking solely about hearing for acceptance rather than waiting for an interview. How long do you guys think till I would hear if I get an interview or not? I'm really getting worried 🙁
 
I think that's a question you should ask the admissions directly. You don't need to tell them who you are, just ask what's the hold up. But we're all in the same boat so hopefully we'll hear something VERY soon I think because all the schools got our PharmCAS academic updates at this point.

UNC Admissions told me that will be continuing to conduct interviews through early March. We'll see!! Hope that helps everyone and best of luck!

campbell sent me an email yesterday saying that i am invited to their next interview date, march 18th, i dont know if im going yet but i figure some people in this thread would want to know! so they are still interviewing, you just have to wait it out! good luck everyone!
 
I got an e-mail about the 18th of March also. And, just like you, hoping for an interview at UNC! Good luck to you!
 
so ironic that i was all worried yesterday! Got my interview email today 🙂
 
I finally got my email to interview at unc next thrusday (feb 11th) yayyyy 😍
 
"We appreciate your interest in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The purpose of this email is to provide an update on the status of your application since your interview. A final decision regarding your admission has not been made. However, the admissions committee is hard at work reviewing the remaining applicant files and plans to make final decisions in mid-March."

Yeah and interviewed in December. I've pretty much given up on them. But it isn't a rejection yet

A lot of the schools I've interviewed at wait until March to give you results. So around mid March I should be getting a lot of results back.

yeah, I called and she told me that interviews were on feb 11 and I could interview from 12-3:30 or 2-5:30! so I picked the earlier one!
 
Received my invite for Campbell for March. Yay, I'm sooo nervous yet excited. I was waitlisted last year so I hope this is my year! Any tips for previously waitlisted applicants?

I called today to set up a time, and she wasn't in her office. Her secretary took my name and phone number. Ms. Goldston will have to proceed with setting up times and confirming interviews on Monday. So do not panic if you haven't received anything yet 🙂

Congrats Dreamer! When did Campbell receive your app? They just recently received my PharmCAS & supplemental at the end of Jan. so I assume it may take some time for reviewing...also do you mind sharing your stats? 🙂
