Electroplating Question
Why is electroplating generally associated with electrolytic reactions? Why can’t you electroplate with a galvanic cell?
I guess my question is: When you have a galvanic cell, doesn’t the solid metal that forms in the cathode stick to the electrode acting as the cathode?
If so, wouldn’t that count as electroplating?
