I took a class called " basic techniques in molecular bio." I was a lab based course that taught me Plasmid Purification, Protein purification techniques. It was a mandatory course for the degree. In the application, can I include my experience here as research experience or no

I probably wouldn't. It was just teaching you techniques right? It's not like you were actively making progress towards a manuscript to be published later.

ok thanks. I did work in a research lab for over a year, but did not get a paper out of that either. The group I worked for dissolved and my mentor moved to another place. It was my first in a research lab, but I should include that right? Another q- I work in a clinical setting and participate in research projects. One the fellows, I helped did publish a paper and she basically thanked me for my work in that paper. Should I make a statement about this paper? I'm sorry about such nitty-gritty questions, but i'm trying to maximize my chances.

You don't have to have a paper in order to put down research experience. If you worked on the research, then it's perfectly fine to put down. Got your hands wet, mixed some chemicals, ran some tests.. put this down as research experience.

If you just restocked shelves and didn't actually do anything, then it's not research experience. This is work experience though.

Tempting huh😉 Dont do it. They might drill you on it and you'll come out looking phoney.
